Soar House

This south west facing, high bank waterfront lot on Salt Spring gets all day sun and views up Sansum Narrows. The brief was to capture morning sunlight, minimize the scale of the building on the landscape and provide both water side and forest side views. 

The gently sloping roofs reach out to the sky and water whilst hugging the ground on the approach side. The house will sit lightly on the landscape and if not tethered down might just float away.
